Rock Investments pays cash for homes to those needing to sell quickly.
CHALLENGE: As a new company in a highly competitive industry, they needed a logo that established trust and symbolized their commitment to helping people in the Oklahoma and Colorado areas.
SOLUTION: As with many businesses in the Rocky Mountain area, they wanted mountains in their logo. The challenge was to create a “mountain logo” without it turning into something cliche or “dime-a-dozen.” It had to be modern but appeal to a wide age range. Luckily they had a very specific mountain in mind, the Matterhorn.
After multiple sketches and iterations, I landed on this simplistic, silhouetted image showing two faces of the monolith. Paired with a warm, “sunset-through-the-blinds” effect in the background, it is solid, eye-catching and modern with a hint of retro.
The red-orange and golden-yellow give the design warmth while the deep gray grounds it, reinforcing the company’s message. A secondary color palette was added to flush out the brand and give their marketing team some options.
OUTCOME: This logo was used in social media branding, a business card design and direct mailers. The two lead investors reported a record number of responses to their direct mail marketing campaign after the implementation of their new logo and color palette.
